Removed from an album of de Wint sketches compiled in the 1870s by Sarah Brooks, whose grandmother, Mrs Boover Brooks, was the artist's aunt;

This is a view from the east showing Nottingham Castle and St. Mary's Church. It relates closely to a view of Nottingham in the Victoria and Albert Museum which is dated to 1847/8.
